Being faire skinned and loving the sun and the ocean is something that's needs to be taken seriously. Because of the higher chance for skin damage and skin cancer.
So sun protection is vitally Important.
I created the sunscreen after coming back from trip to Bali. I bought some coconut oil from a local warung and it had a slight yellow tint to it. They use turmeric for healing purposes in the oil.
I then got the idea to use cacao and turmeric to stain diaper rash cream. Which is a great sunscreen because it stays on very well and has zinc oxide in it to block the suns rays.
But discovered that diaper rash cream has endocrine disrupting chemicals in it. Then after researching more about what ingredients are used in sunscreen. I discovered most chemical sunscreens are very toxic. Both to people and the ocean and reefs.
So I found a way to create a organic, reef safe human safe sunscreen that would last for hours in the sun but also be skin tone and avoid the white ghostface zombie surfer look.
